Welcome: A Space for Healing and Growth

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or low? Has anxiety become a constant companion, or are you struggling to feel present in your own life? Perhaps you're navigating the intense journey of parenthood, healing from past experiences, or seeking ways to strengthen your relationships and build a more fulfilling future.

If so, welcome. My passion is creating accessible, supportive, and flexible spaces for individuals and couples in British Columbia to navigate life's challenges. Taking the first step towards therapy takes courage, and I'm here to offer a safe harbour where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to process difficult thoughts and feelings, develop new strategies, and move towards the life you truly want to live.

My Approach: Collaborative and Client-Centred

I believe therapy is a partnership. You are the expert on your life, and my role is to walk alongside you, offering guidance, support, and evidence-based tools. My approach is built on warmth, collaboration, and a deep respect for your unique journey.

Gently unpack your thoughts, feelings, and experiences to gain deeper insight.

Heal & Process

Create a safe space to work through challenging events, emotions, and patterns.

Build & Grow

Develop effective coping strategies, foster resilience, and build upon your inherent strengths.

Align & Thrive

Areas Where I Can Help

While I have a special focus on perinatal mental health and trauma recovery, my practice is open to individuals and couples facing a wide range of concerns.

Perinatal Mental Health

Navigating the emotional landscape from trying to conceive through pregnancy, birth, and the first two years postpartum (and beyond). This includes support for anxiety, depression, birth trauma, adjustment challenges, and the unique pressures of parenthood.

Trauma & Complex/PTSD

Processing past distressing experiences and reducing their impact on your present life in a safe, trauma-informed way.

Women's Health

Addressing concerns like PMS and PMDD, and other challenges.

Anxiety & Stress Management

Developing tools to manage worry, panic, and the pressures of daily life.

Depression & Mood Concerns

Finding ways to lift the fog, rediscover joy, and manage mood.

Relationship Challenges

Enhancing communication, managing conflict, and fostering deeper connection for couples and individuals.

Life Transitions

Navigating changes in career, relationships, grief, loss, and personal growth.

ADHD Support

Developing strategies for managing symptoms and thriving with ADHD.

Our Work Together: Evidence-Based Practices

To ensure you receive the most effective support, I draw from several well-researched, evidence-based therapeutic methods. We will tailor our approach to your specific needs, potentially integrating:

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)

To identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)

To help you clarify your values and build a life that feels meaningful.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)

To understand and process emotions, fostering deeper connection with yourself and others.

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)

To build upon your existing strengths and find practical solutions.

Gottman Method Couples Therapy

To provide couples with tools to improve communication, manage conflict, and enhance intimacy.

My Background and Training

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and am currently completing my Master of Clinical Social Work through an advanced internship at the University of British Columbia Okanagan (UBCO). My academic foundation includes a Bachelor's degree with honours in Psychology.

For the past seven years, I've had the privilege of working in the mental health field, supporting a diverse range of clients, including youth, adults, couples, families, and individuals with intellectual disabilities. My professional development includes specialized training in both perinatal mental health and trauma work, ensuring I can provide informed and sensitive care in these crucial areas.

Why Choose My Practice?

My goal is to make therapy as accessible and supportive as possible:

Flexible Scheduling

Evening and weekend appointments are available to fit your busy life.

Convenient Formats

Choose between in-person sessions in Kelowna or online appointments accessible anywhere in British Columbia.

Parent-Friendly

As a parent myself, I understand the logistical and emotional challenges, and I strive to make therapy workable for you.

Lived Experience

My professional expertise is complemented by my own lived experience navigating mental health challenges as a parent.

Trauma-Informed Care

My training and experience ensure a safe and understanding approach to healing from trauma.

A Little Bit About Me

When I'm not in the therapy room, you can usually find me enjoying the beautiful lakes and mountains of BC – I was born here and can't imagine living anywhere else. I'm a passionate reader who always keeps a book closeby, and my home is joyfully ruled by two mischievous cats.
