Couples Counselling
Most couples don't come to therapy because something is broken. They come because something matters. Couples counselling is a space to slow conversations down, hear each other again, and figure out what you both want the relationship to look like.
I work with couples at every stage: dating, engaged, married, parenting together, blending families, or navigating a major transition. I also work with partnered individuals who want to show up differently in their relationship.
What we work on
- Communication patterns and recurring conflict cycles
- Reconnection after a rupture or period of distance
- Adjusting to parenthood, blended families, or major life shifts
- Differences in needs, sex, or emotional bandwidth
- Repair after trust has been impacted
- Coming together to build a life that honours each partner's needs
How sessions work
Sessions are typically 50 or 75 minutes with both partners present. We start with what brought you in, build a shared picture of your dynamic, and then move into the specific patterns you want to shift. I draw on attachment theory, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Therapy where it fits for you.
Available in-person in Kelowna or securely online for couples anywhere in British Columbia, including long-distance partnerships joining from two locations.
